Dr. Richy Miyasaka and his colleague Dr. Stephanie Nguyen of California were selected after a nationwide search to present at the 2011 American Academy of Optometry in Boston, Massachusetts. Only a handful of optometrists are given this opportunity each year. Their research on "The Effects of Essilor's Anti-Fatigue Lenses compared to Essilor's Single Vision Lenses on Eye Fatigue" was presented to optometrists from across the world.

The project came together with the help of advisor Eunice Myung Lee, O.D., FAAO. Dr. Myung Lee has been influential in both Dr. Miyasaka and Dr. Nguyen's optometry career as their lecturer, lab instructor and clinical staff doctor at Southern California College of Optometry.
